Description
You are buying an unlocking disc for various LG Blu-ray players to make them region-free (multi-region) for DVD playback (not for Blu-ray disc playback).
You will only need to use the disc once on your machine. It will launch a hidden menu where you can set the region coding of your player to region 0. After doing this one time your player will then be unlocked for playing DVD discs from any region at any time. You can also use the disc again to set the player’s region back to its original locked region should you wish to reverse the process in the future.
This disc is compatible with players currently locked to DVD region 2 (UK, Ireland, Europe, Japan) or region 4 (Australia, NZ, Oceania, Latin America). It is not compatible with North American players locked to region 1. The region code your player was locked to at the factory is shown on the back of the player as a diagram of a globe with a number on it.
Full printed instructions are included with the disc. This disc will not unlock the Blu-ray zone/region (A, B or C) so you will still only be able to play Blu-ray discs coded to the region of your player. DVD discs from any region will play after unlocking (regions 1–6.)
This DVD-region unlocking disc is compatible with the following LG Blu-ray players that can be made multi-region for DVD playback. If your player’s model number has extra letters following the numbers below these can be ignored. If you have a BP255, BP350, BP450 or BP550 player see the note below the table because you might need a firmware change before the region code can be changed. Please contact us about other LG Blu-ray players not listed below.

** NOTE: BP255, BP350, BP450 and BP550 players might need a firmware downgrade installing before the region code can be changed. Check the ‘Main’ version number installed on your player under the Settings > Other > Software menu of your player’s on-screen menu. If the ‘Main’ version is above BD.24065.60809.C you might need to change the firmware to version BD.24065.60420.C before the region change disc will work. You can use the download called LG_BD_A000M63.zip and the associated PDF instructions on LG’s website to install this firmware using a USB stick, or contact us for assistance.
