HI, I fitted a replacement battery from you in my IO9 toothbrush in July. It has worked fine up until now.
It runs ok until it gets down to 38/40 % charge and then stops without warning and shows 0%
Hi Alan, there is a common fault with the iO toothbrushes where the internal battery-level meter gets out of sync with the battery. The toothbrush displays an incorrect percentage of charge which suddenly drops, then the toothbrush shuts off prematurely. One of the fixes is to fully charge the toothbrush, then remove the battery for 10 minutes. After reinstalling the battery the toothbrush should run correctly again.
Yes that all makes sense and is what I have experienced.
But for the price it is a disgrace and the items should be more reliable.
I am about to try to put in a new battery which I sent for – wish me luck!
The registration for guarantee is a performance in itself – a simple paper form to send off would be less trouble, as back in the day!
